Great and Precious Promises

The word of God promises us all good things if we'll believe and obey the Lord. It promises us healing, prosperity, guidance, revival, and victory.

Additionally, God promises us peace, health, wisdom, truth, happiness, deliverance, protection, eternal life, abundant life, freedom, and many other blessings, all documented in His word the Bible.

The Apostle Peter wrote, "Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust" (2Pet. 1:4).

The exceeding great and precious promises of God have already been given to us, and they enable us to partake of God's nature and to escape the corruption of the world.

However, obtaining the promises of God, sometimes requires patience, as the word points out, "For ye have need of patience, that after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise" (Heb. 10:36-37).

In order to obtain the promises of God:

  • We must put God First (Matt. 6:33)
  • We must be Obedient to the Lord's commandments (Deut. 11:22-23)
  • We need Faith (Heb.11:6)
  • We must be Strong and Courageous (Josh. 1:7)
  • We must be Active (Heb. 6:12)

Prayer is the avenue that takes us from the Problem to the Promise, from Fear to Faith, and from Despair to Hope. "Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace..." (Rom. 4:16).

I believe that believers of the Lord Jesus Christ are the most blessed people to ever walked the face of the earth. We're the happiest people who ever lived, and the most victorious people in the world. It's because of the rich and precious promises of God. Promises that God wants us to claim as our own through Faith and Prayer.

"For all the promises of God in Him are yea, and in Him Amen,
unto the glory of God by us. (2Cor. 1:20)
