"An entrepreneurial culture and the rule of law have nourished the nation’s economic dynamism." - Guy Sorman
America’s predominance isn’t new; indeed, it has existed since the early nineteenth century. But where did it come from? And is it in danger of disappearing?
At his Presidential Inauguration (New York City, April 30, 1789), George Washington the first president of the United States of America said, ”We ought to be no less persuaded that the propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right, which Heaven itself has ordered.”
George Washington was serving notice to America that this new nation will not make it without God. He spoke prophetically, warning the nation that if America ever turns away from God, its blessings of protection and prosperity will be removed.
So, where is America today prophetically? Has the nation turned away from God? Are the watchmen (The Church) being silenced? This video gives us insight and answers to some of these questions.
God's response to America and the world is, "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land" (2 Chronicles 7:14).
"Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain" (Psalm 127:1).
God is calling to the Church, His watchmen to warn the people, “At the end of seven days the word of the LORD came to me (Ezekiel): Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me. When I say to a wicked person, ‘You will surely die,’ and you do not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order to save their life, that wicked person will die for[a] their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood" (Ezekiel 3:16-18).
When the godly succeed, everyone is glad. When the wicked take charge, people go into hiding. People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will reeive mercy" (Prov. 28:12-13).
Let us humble ourselves and call upon the name of the Lord, that He will have mercy and abundantly pardon our sin. May God bless these united states of America!
