It's Time to Pray

Prayer changes things, Circumstances, Places and People! “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth” (1Tim. 2:1-4).
  • “As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me. Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.” (Psalms 55:16-17)
  •  “He shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: prayer also shall be made for him continually; and daily shall he be praised.” (Psalms 72:15)
  • “Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily.” (Psalms 86:3)
  • “Mine eye mourneth by reason of affliction: LORD, I have called daily upon thee, I have stretched out my hands unto thee.” (Psalms 88:9)
  • “I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.” (Psalms 145: 1-3)

As mature Christians we are naive to ignore or deny the reality of spiritual conflicts between good and evil and our role in them as believing saints. Our main weapon in a prayer offensive is a keen knowledge and application of scripture "declared verbally" in the same way Jesus fought the devil in his wilderness experience.
  1. Prayer is a vital key that connects us with our heavenly Father.
  2. Prayer is both an incredible privilege and an awesome responsibility. It can move the hand of God in situations where there is no other hope.
  3. Biblical prayer is crying to God out of the depths; it is the pouring out of the soul before God.
“The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much” (James 5:16). When a person is RIGHT with God, the power of his sincere prayer is tremendous!"

If God said it, We can count on it!

It’s amazing how we can read God’s word and feel that He was speaking directly to us; and after we’ve prayed we come away with a feeling that everything is going to be all-right.

There is that feeling of assurance which lets us know in our spirit that whatever we prayed for will not be denied.

God’s word is so comforting that we know If He said it, we can count on it. He never lies. In fact, there is only one thing that God cannot do, and that is to fail.

He and His word are completely trustworthy in every respect, and that is why it behooves us to pray His promises with confidence.

Here are some of God’s promises related to His faithfulness:
  •  “Faithful is He that called you, who also will do it” (1Thes. 5:24).
  •  “God is faithful, by whom you were called unto the fellowship of His Son Jesus Christ our Lord” (1Cor. 1:9).
  •  “As for God, His ways is perfect; the word of the Lord is tried; He is a buckler to all those that trust in him” (Ps. 18:30).
  • “So shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth; it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it” (Isa.55:11).
God is the great Promise keeper, and we can be Promise-Reapers if we will trust Him to fulfill His word in our lives.

All of God’s promises are yes and Amen. Let us trust Him to be Lord over our lives.
