Sam and Esther

As I watched this video I was compelled to post it here to grab the world’s attention and appeal for assistance; to raise the resources needed to ameliorate the living condition of these children.



I am appalled at the deprivation and squalor that these kids experience day after day. Where is the love?

We all experience hardship of some sort, health, financial, emotional etc., but when I saw this video, I suddenly felt humbled to know that my problems are all petty and insignificant... The Lord said, "Inasmuch as you have done it to one of the least of these my brothers, you have done it to me" (Matt. 25:40).

Therefore, I urge you to support the The San Damiano Foundation and save a child.

This video reminded me of The Rich Man and Lazarus in Luke 16:19-31 (NIV).

"There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores and longing to eat what fell from the rich man's table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores.

"The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried. In hell, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. So he called to him, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.'

"But Abraham replied, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.'

"He answered, 'Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my father's house, for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.'

"Abraham replied, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.'

"'No, father Abraham,' he said, 'but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.'

"He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.'"

Footprints In The Sand

God is really great, He never leaves us alone especially when we're in trouble.



Footprints in the sand is a beautiful poem put into song that will strengthen you whenever you are feeling lonely. Just listening to it reminds us of God's unfailing love and mercy toward us. Surely, GOD is with us at all times, especially when things go wrong in our lives.


This song/poem has been source of inspiration for many over the years as its encouraging words uplifts the spirit of those who listen to it.

Why Do People Live In Sin?

Why do people live in sin? To answer this question, let us first consider what the bible has to say about our condition before a Holy God. We were created as free moral agents. God could have made us as robots, but He didn’t. We have a choice in the matter, and sin is a direct result of Adam disobeying God's instruction (Gen. 2:16-17).

"Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned" (Rom. 5:12). David acknowledged that he was born in sin and said, "Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me (Psa. 51:5). "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Rom. 3:23).

There are several reasons why people sin. People sin because: 

1. "There is no fear of God before their eyes" (Rom. 3:18). They have no respect for God, our Creator.  But the "whole duty of man" is to "fear God and keep His commandments" (Eccl. 12:13).  
2. There is a lack of knowledge (Hos. 4:6). Before we can keep God’s commandments we must know what they are. We must study God’s word (Psa. 119:11). 
3. We are deceived by sin. "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us" (1 John 1:8).
4. There is temporary pleasure in sin. Moses chose "rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season" (Heb. 11:25). But we are also tempted and enticed daily, eg. by commercials.   (Jam. 1:14-15).
5. "The soul of the wicked desires evil" (Prov. 21:10). They "love evil more than good, lying rather than speaking righteousness" (Psa. 52:3).   
6. They are deceived by false doctrine.  "If anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let hem be accursed" (Gal. 1:9).
7. They're influenced by people with whom they associate.  "Do not be deceived: evil company corrupts good habits" (1 Cor. 15:33). We must carefully choose our friends. To protect ourselves from sin we must, "Abstain from all appearance of evil" (1 Thess. 5:22).

We also sin when we don’t do what we should do.  "Therefore, to him that knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin" (Jam. 4:17).  

If we continue willfully in our sin and don’t repent, we will die in our sins and be lost (John 8:24).  Let us not be deceived by sin, because the wages of sin is spiritual death in Hell forever (Rom. 6:23).

"Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said to Peter and to the rest of the Apostles, men and brothers, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, [even] as many as the Lord our God shall call" (Acts 2:37-39).

"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, 

that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16).

So you see, God loves us and wants us to spend eternity with Him; "the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Rom. 6:23b). It's a FREE gift, receive it today.

Where Is The Change?

"I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.

But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry" (2Tim. 4:1-5).



Wow, powerful! What's your opinion?

An Interview with a struggling christian: I asked Jesus to forgive my sins when I was about 4 or 5. I remember it well. After that, I did most of my growing up out in the world. I hung out with the wrong people and did as the world does including drugs, fornication, and listening to music that wouldn't be pleasing to God. Recently I've been in the Word more than ever and I've felt convicted about what I use to do and stopped doing them, but can I still be saved or am I doomed for what I've done?

No, you are not doomed. You are alive and able to repent and change your life. Jesus had mercy on you and kept you all these years. You could have died in your sins but you didn't. The word of God says that he draws nigh to those who are of a broken heart and a contrite spirit. Continue to draw nigh unto God and he will draw nigh to you. I am grateful to hear that the Lord is pricking your heart. I must ask you, have you ever received the Holy Spirit? If so, I would encourage you to continue fighting the good fight of faith.

The world didn't like Christ and he said that they wouldn't like us. Hold on because our Lord is about to return. Let's just be ready and pray for those who seem to be rejecting Christ. If you have not totally surrendered to Christ as Savior; "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?" (Rom. 6:1).

1John 1:9 (NIV) tell us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." Also, Proverbs 28:13 (NIV) declared, "He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy." God bless you.

Man's Perception of God

It's ironic how some people today view God. Do you know that our perception of God will make us or break us. If we don't see God for who He really is then everything that we do or don't do in life will be the result of our view of Him. One view that religion can hold of God is that He is a "hard man."

Let us look at this man's view of his master. "Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours." But his lord answered and said to him, "You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed... So take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents" (Matt. 25:24-28).

If we believe that God is "hard" on us and others, we will be the same. This view of God brings an expectation of "punishment" if we miss it with God. This is what has happened with many Christians. Because of this, they end up doing nothing at all; they become lazy, self-consumed and cannot see any bigger than themselves.

They cannot take on a "Kingdom Mindset" because they are so worried they will blow it, miss it and God will punish them for it. Notice that "the Lord of this servant," who is a picture of God, did not excuse his fear but called him a "wicked and lazy servant." Fear is torment and it produces laziness, because it just makes you want to hide away somewhere.

So if God has placed something on your heart and you're motivated to do something in the Kingdom that will bring glory to Him, then go ahead and do it. Don't be like that wicked and lazy servant who blamed God for his fears. Trust God, He will give you the resources that you'll need to get it done.
